CD Projekt RED has made an appointment with players for a new livestream dedicated to Cyberpunk 2077. As expected, the teams from the Polish studio have officially presented the next-gen version of the game for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition, the developers revealed in detail the improvements brought by patch 1.5.
We mentioned it in our columns this morning, more and more indications suggested that CD Projekt RED was preparing to officially present the next-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077. Indeed, the mention “Optimized for Xbox Series X/S” has just appeared on the product sheet of the title on the Microsoft Store.
However, the developers of the Polish studio have given players an appointment at 4 p.m. for a new live on the game. As expected, the teams unveiled gameplay for the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the game. Unsurprisingly, this next-gen version will include Ray-Tracing, upscaled dynamic 4K and reduced loading times.
Of course, the overall graphics quality has been improved on the latest consoles from Microsoft and Sony. Spatialized audio will also be part of PS5 (the feature is already available on Xbox Series X and Series S). On PS5, DualSense features like adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will be used to enhance immersion during combat and driving. Like many next-gen titles, the game will feature two display modes, namely Performance in dynamic 4K and 60 FPS (without Ray Tracing) and Fidelity mode in 4K 30 FPS with Ray-Tracing activated. On Xbox Series S, the resolution will be limited to 1440p.

Cyberpunk 2077’s next-gen patch is finally here
Be aware, however, that they will be available at the same time as patch 1.5, of which the deployment has already started as evidenced by certain publications on Twitter. Indeed, insider Tom Henderson shows image in support that a 41 GB update is available right now on the Xbox One version of the title. CD Projekt RED has confirmed that the next-gen patch is available now. Among the novelties brought by patch 1.5, let us note:
- Completely redesigned skill trees for greater clarity, with the ability to reallocate allocated skill points
- Added a new “Ninjutsu” build instead of the Stealth build
- Improved enemy AI in combat
- More natural NPC reactions
- A more readable map with the ability to apply filters
- A new DLC with new weapons, accessories, mods
- Ability to change V’s appearance from your apartment mirror
- Contents of the safe accessible from all apartments
- In-depth romances
