D-Link launches the DNR-4020-16P, advanced yet affordable autonomous video surveillance

The D-Link company has strengthened its catalog of video surveillance solutions with the DNR-4020-16P, an advanced solution that is capable of record network video in 16 channels, and that today is one of the most interesting options within its price range.

As we have anticipated in the title, the D-Link DNR-4020-16P is a standalone solution, which means that it does not require any PC to function. This represents an important value, since we will not have to connect it to any external device so that it can work optimally.

The DNR-4020-16P has everything you need to work independently, but what exactly does it offer? To find out, nothing better than taking a look directly at their official specifications:

  • Autonomous recording and video surveillance system with 16 PoE ports to connect IP cameras with ONVIF S protocol, up to 120WPoE Budget to power the cameras through the same data cable.
  • VMS software via web interface for advanced recording control and monitoring.
  • Local and remote access to cameras with the free JustConnect + app (iOS / Android).
  • 1 Gigabit port for connection to the data network / internet.
  • Two internal bays for SATA hard drives (up to 16TB capacity).
  • USB mouse / keyboard connections.
  • HDMI and VGA outputs for connecting to a monitor.
  • DI x8 DO x2 ports (Alarm In / AlarmOut for integration with presence, opening or access sensors).
  • USB ports for backup of recordings on external drives.

Thanks to its PoE ports, the D-Link DNR-4020-16P allows us to connect up to 16 IP video surveillance cameras, and without the cabling being a major problem. It also has everything necessary to install the storage units that will allow us to record video, and it is compatible with the H.265 / HEVC codec, which means reduces the bandwidth consumed during video surveillance streaming, and in the recording process. Thanks to this, we can enjoy 4K video without jerks, and the space it will occupy will be reduced.

The DNR-4020-16P is very easy to manage, thanks to the integrated VMS monitoring software, which is accessible via web interface, and the free mobile app JustConnect + (iOS / Android), which allows multi-camera viewing of streaming remotely, no matter where we are. This model also has DI / DO ports, compatible with motion sensors, it can generate alarms based on specific events, with notifications and warnings that can arrive in the form of sounds, messages or emails, and it is compatible with cameras that use the ONVIF Profiles protocol.

With this new D-Link system we will be able to use, without problem, the company’s entire new “Vigilance” range, which is made up of Dome, Bullet and SpeedDome cameras. These cameras are compatible with H.265, PoE, offer resolution up to 4K and have varifocal lenses (some models). Their housings are IP66 certified, which means they are resistant to dust and water, and the dome cameras are IK10 certified, a higher level that guarantees their resistance to shocks and other acts of vandalism.

D-Link has confirmed that the DNR-4020-16P is now available at a price of 450 euros, VAT included.
