Dell Latitude Rugged, notebooks for work in the most extreme environments

Dell has expanded its portfolio of rugged notebooks with the addition of the models Latitude 5430 Rugged and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme. They are designed for computing tasks in extreme environments.

The new Dell Latitude Rugged uses a similar internal base based on the 11th generation Intel Core processors, with vPro technology that adds hardware management and security over the consumer variants. They also support the latest connectivity standards, with built-in Wi-Fi 6E and optional connectivity for 5G broadband networks.

The Latitude 5430 Rugged is, according to Dell, the semi-rugged notebook of 14 inch lightest and most powerful 5G capable laptop on the market, while the Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme is touted as the world’s most rugged laptop. 13 inches Smallest 5G capable in the industry.

Both models are fitted with extremely bright panels of 1,400 nits to enable them for use in full sunlight and can equip multi-touch technology for use with gloves. Their autonomy is also relevant, since they can last up to 25 hours. Plus, dual hot-swappable batteries keep the machine running without interruption, and Dell’s built-in Charge Boost technology allows you to charge 35% of its capacity in just 20 minutes.

In addition to the additional hardware security of Intel vPro processors, both machines have authentication TPM 2.0 ControlVault to protect data and have support for contact and contactless smart card readers and fingerprint readers as options.
