Does the officialization of Sonic Frontiers during The Game Awards 2021 confirm the imminent arrival of Super Mario Odyssey 2?

Sonic Frontiers revives an old rumor

So far these leaks around Super Mario Odyssey 2 had not really aroused the interest of the players. But the formalization of Sonic frontiers, and the confirmation of all the predictions made by the 4chan message tends to validate the idea that a second opus of the title released in 2017 is indeed in preparation. In reality, that wouldn’t be so surprising. Most of the great games featuring Mario got their sequel, and fans’ expectations around Odyssey is indeed present.
