Diners Club Spain reinforces its workforce. The organization specializing in payment methods B2B and franchise of the US payment scheme Diners Club International, has appointed Jose Maldonado Escuderonew managing director & CEO of the company.
With more than 27 years of experience in banking and almost 17 years of professional experience in the means of payment sector, José Maldonado brings together the experience, knowledge and leadership that the company needs to face the new challenges of the sector, marked by the digital transformation and the strategic redesign of the company, which allows it to respond to the new needs in the intermediation of B2B payments.
Such is the case of the launch of the Diners Club Spain MICE Account, a product that centralizes and streamlines payments for events, congresses, meetings and incentives, or the Travel Services Account, a payment instrument focused on B2B purchases from travel agencies and tour operators.
Experience in managerial positions
José Maldonado has held different managerial positions in the Santander Bank. He has worked as director of the acquiring and corporate business and has participated in means of payment companies. Such is the case of GetNet EU, occupying the position of Chief Commercial Officer, a position he has held since 2017. “My time at Banco Santander and companies around it in the world of payment methods has allowed me to promote businesses where innovation, specialization and distribution capacity must be combined in a market in the process of transformation”exposes.
