The post credit scenes of Spider-Man: No Way Home had anticipated it and, now, it’s up to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness continue the adventure of the Marvel superheroes in the Multiverse of the MCU.

We can understand something more about the second film dedicated to the Sorcerer Supreme thanks to the new official synopsis of the film which also reveals the great threat it will face Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Now that Iron Man and Captain America are gone after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former surgeon and seasoned sorcerer Doctor Strange is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers.

However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell, he opened the door to a mysterious madness called “Multiverse”.

To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks the help of his ally Wong (Benedict Wong) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

But a terrible threat hangs over humanity and the entire universe. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks just like Doctor Strange…

The Marvel Studios film directed by Sam Raimi will arrive in cinemas on May 6, 2022.

As mentioned Benedict Cumberbatch will return in the second chapter dedicated to his Doctor Strange together with Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor And Rachel McAdams, in the respective roles of Wong, Baron Mordo and Christine Palmer. They will add to the film Elisabeth Olsen in the role of Scarlet Witch probably his children, or the twins Billy and Tommy already seen in WandaVision.

The events narrated by the film will in fact be a continuation of what we have seen in WandaVision, with the possible return of Vision and Agatha Harkness.
