Ecoembes appoints Rosa Trigo as the new CEO of the company

Ecoembes reinforces its management, with the appointment of Wheat Rose What new company CEOby the board of directors. He will replace Oscar Martín who has reported leaving the company for strictly personal reasons. With this decision that will take effect from January 1, 2023, Ecoembes initiates a orderly transition process as part of the succession plan defined in its current corporate governance model.

Until today Rosa Trigo held the technical and innovation direction of Ecoembes after a career always linked to waste management. Graduate and Doctor in Chemical Sciences, PDG from IESE and Adeca Program at San Telmo Business School, she has developed most of her career at Ecoembes where she has been assuming different responsibilities for 25 years.

Among his main achievements is the leadership of both the company’s operations and innovation strategy, as well as the current strategic plan.

Although he will still be linked to the company for a few months, the company would like to thank Óscar Martín for all his work, effort and vision, amply demonstrated during these years where his management has been essential in positioning Ecoembes as one of the great environmental organizations of our country.

With more than 30 years of experience in waste management, Óscar Martín has dedicated 25 years of his professional career to Ecoembes. In the first place, as technical director, after a process of internal promotion, he held the position of CEO and member of the organization’s board of directors for the last 10 years. His leadership has also led him to occupy the position of president of the European organization EXPRA, which brings together systems from 28 countries.
