ECS Liva One A300 brings AMD A4 sockets to mini PCs

Further expanding a market that continues to expand little by little faster, this time it is ECS that presents its new compact computer, the Liva One A300, which is presented as one of the company’s most versatile mini PCs, equipping an empty socket for AMD A4 SoCsoffering support for AMD Athlon and Ryzen desktop processors with TDP ratings up to 65 watts.

Unsurprisingly, having to make room for a motherboard with this type of socket leaves us a slightly larger device than typical mini PCs, while still keeping dimensions of 205 x 176 x 33 millimeters and all the advantages of this compact standard over typical desktop configurations.

Beyond leaving the choice of processor in the hands of the user, the Liva One A300 has a configuration that supports up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM, thanks to its two SODIMM slots; In addition to supporting devices dual storage thanks to an M.2 2280 slot support PCIe Gen 3 x4 storage and a 2.5-inch bay for hard drives or SSD drives.

As usual in this type of device, we will have a support for up to three screens, in this case depending on the configuration of each model. And it is that although all the variants of the Liva One A300 come equipped with an HDMI port compatible with a 4K output at 60 Hz, some variants have a single DisplayPort connector 4K at 60 Hz and a VGA port, while other models double DisplayPort to coast of the VGA port.

Thus, the connectivity section of all of them will be completed by two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connectors, two USB 2.0a 3.5mm microphone input, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, and a 2.5Gbps Ethernet jack.

Finally, ECS has presentedor two different top panel options, with a vented cover that the company suggests for systems configured with 65-watt processors, and a second model without vents for configurations with 35 watt processors.
