EIZO has launched the FlexScan EV2490, a new 23.8-inch monitor which is equipped with a multifunction dock, and that thanks to its USB Type-C input port it allows us to connect any type of laptop without problems, although we must bear in mind that its maximum power capacity is 70 watts. The dock that comes with the EIZO FlexScan EV2490 also features three USB Type-A connectors and a LAN port.
This monitor is specially designed for simplify and improve telecommuting. Its integrated dock and its wide range of connections play an important role in this regard, but the rest of its specifications do not detract at all. Its panel is of the IPS type, which means that it offers a good representation of color and that it is capable of achieving perfect viewing angles at 178 degrees.
The EIZO FlexScan EV2490 has a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which leaves us with a fairly tight pixels per inch ratio. In the rear part, it has an integrated cable management system that will allow us to achieve a cleaner and tidier desktop. Its response time is 5 ms, it has two integrated speakers of 1 watt each and it is adjustable in height, rotation and inclination.
Its range of connectors is completed with one HDMI and one DisplayPort output, which will allow us to connect it to any PC without problems, a USB Type-C input and the classic 3.5 mm headphone jack. This model complements the FlexScan EV2795 in the lower range, which has a 27-inch screen and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.
