As reported by Reddit users, malicious players with the sole purpose of ruining the lives of others have found a loophole in Elden Ring’s multiplayer. After invading another player’s game, they perform a specific action that causes the game to spit.
Once Elden Ring is restarted, the victim has the bad surprise to see that his character continually falls into the void, and therefore dies in a loop. The game has a one-time auto-save… that means the game is completely over and you have to start all over again from the beginning. Sometimes hundreds of hours wasted.

Neither Namco Bandai nor From Software has commented on this issue yet. which only affects a few players at the moment. However, it is advisable to disable multiplayer on PC or simply create copies of your saves, just in case. Note that this problem does not exist on other platforms. This is not the first time that the developer has faced a problem of this type, since the Dark Souls 3 game servers were closed recently due to a major security breach.
