Pepephone, Yoigo and MásMóvil go down, Internet and data don't work

It’s not you, Pepephone, Yoigo and MásMóvil have just suffered a drop in level national. As we have seen in tuexperto.com, the mobile data network and the Internet have ceased to be operational in a large part of the peninsula. In fact, the problems affect both 4G coverage and the fiber optic network of the three companies. Let us remember that the three operators share infrastructure, so the error seems to have spread to various parts of Spain. At the time of writing, none of the companies has commented on the matter.

Pepephone, Yoigo and MásMóvil does not work, Internet goes down in Spain

Just a few minutes ago the network of the MásMóvil group suffered a drop in Spain that affects most points of the network. Initially, connection failures were limited to cities such as Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Barcelona and Granada . Just a few minutes later, the fall has spread practically throughout the entire Spanish geography.

As we have indicated at the beginning of the article , the fall affects both mobile network services (3G, 4G, 5G…) as well as fiber optics and ADSL . Restarting the router or changing the operator’s APN on the mobile phone will not help us in these cases, since it is a general drop in service.

From the different official profiles of Pepephone, Yoigo and MásMóvil have not yet commented on the cuts in the connection, so we do not know the reason for the fall. In the case of Pepephone, the agents have limited themselves to treating the cases individually on Twitter. At the moment, it is unknown when the service will be restored . And it is that as usual in these cases, the most probable thing is that the network will be established again after a few hours in a staggered manner in the different points of affection.

In any case, from tuexperto.com we will keep up to date to update the article with any official information from the three network operators. At the time of writing these lines, the cuts are still in force in most parts of Spain.

Temporary update

Our colleague Antonio Bret has verified that connection problems in the fiber optic network are partially solved by changing the DNS addresses of the computer to the from Google, which in this case are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. In this other article we show you how to proceed step by step in Windows and Android. In any case, the connection problem is still valid in the three companies, both Pepephone and MásMóvil and Yoigo in Spain.

Service update

Pepephone has just made a statement about it on its official Twitter account. The statement reads as follows:

«We regret to inform you that we have a general problem in the Internet service at home. It seems to be related to the DNS server. We continue working on it. Thanks for your patience.”

Pepephone, Yoigo y MásMóvil customer service number

To contact the different operators through the customer service client can use the service number of each of the companies.

  • Yoigo : 1707 for Yoigo lines and 622 622 622 for lines not Yoigo.
  • MásMóvil : 2373 for MásMóvil lines and 911 333 333 for non MásMóvil lines.
  • Pepephone : 1706 for Pepephone lines and 634 501 212 for non-Pepephone lines.

From tuexperto.com we have been able to verify that all the lines are collapsed, so it is most likely that we do not get a response from the operators. Most likely we will end up compensating with some reduction in the monthly payment on the bill or with data bonuses or free minutes on calls and data mobile.
