Elgato Facecam Pro, new webcam with 4K resolution and 60 FPS

Corsair has launched the Elgato Facecam Pro, a webcam aimed primarily at streamers and content creators that can work with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and is capable of maintaining 60 frames per second. This means that it achieves a very high resolution, which translates into a outstanding sharpnessand its high frame rate per second will allow us to stream and record video with a high level of fluency.

The installation and setup process for the Elgato Facecam Pro is very simple, as it uses a clamp-type grip system that allows it to be easily attached to the top of any monitor, and integrates seamlessly with the software ecosystem of the Elgato Facecam Pro. Elgato, which means that if we install the tool “Camera Hub” we can access numerous customization and configuration options.

As expected, this model uses high quality components. The first thing that strikes you about the Elgato Facecam Pro is its optics, as it uses a wide-angle lens with a field of view of up to 90 degrees with f/2.0 aperture. We can do a manual focus to play with the depth of field effect, and we can also set a specific focus if we need it.

The sensor used by the Elgato Facecam Pro is a 1/1.8-inch Sony Starvis that captures a large amount of light, which translates into higher image quality even when ambient lighting conditions are not entirely optimal. Its image engine also offers a wide variety of options, among which we can highlight interpolation, color and defect correction, white measurement and adjustment, contrast and saturation enhancement, definition enhancement, compensation flickering and rescaling.

The Elgato Facecam Pro also has full integration with the Stream Deck, and is compatible with Windows and Mac. It is now available on the official Elgato website for a price of €349.99.
