Revolut has decided to reinforce its staff with the appointment of Elizabeth Girvent as new Head of Sales for Spain and Portugal. The global financial app has opted for Elisabet, who joined Revolut in 2021 as sales manager for Spain, France and Portugal, to lead a team of more than 280 people in the Iberia region since September of this year. The objective is to continue expanding the services of Revolut Business in the region.
Elizabeth has more than 12 years of professional experience in top-level technology companies such as Samsung, Criteo or LinkedIn, among others, and where he has had the opportunity to work in seven countries. In addition, she is currently a professor of B2B sales in the Master of Marketing Management at Esade.
Revolut Business is the banking service for companies of Revolut that has been operating since 2017 and is designed to serve both startups and family SMEs as well as technological decacorns. It has more than 20 products designed to facilitate the work of companies seeking more efficient management of their finances: multi-currency accounts, international transfers and payments with the best exchange rate, or management of the flow of making and accepting payments, going through for the management of team expenses or billing, are some of the products in the portfolio.
In Spain, big names such as Just Eat or The Power Business School are among its clients, while in Portugal companies such as Parfois, Café Delta or AON, among others, stand out.
In these first five years in service, Revolut Business has processed a total of over £125 billion in transactions for its business clients, and today processes over £6.5 billion per month. Currently, Revolut Business’s global customer base is growing at a rate of 2,000 new businesses a week, and the company issues nearly 70,000 new cards a month, growing 20% per month.
Exponential growth
The Revolut Business team in Iberia has grown exponentially since the beginning of the year and continues to expand to respond to the needs of business clients in Spain and Portugal, with 12 open jobs in the sales area.
The appointment of Elisabet as Head of Sales for Iberia joins the recent appointment of Ignacio Zunzunegui as Head of Growth for South Europe, and that of Eduardo Perez Toribio as Head of Lending and Head of Branch for Spain and Portugal, thus reinforcing the position of the superapp in the Iberia market.
