The development of Tesla’s Full Self Driving feature seems to be stalling. Elon Musk announces the deployment of a beta version 11 shortly, but it will be reserved for a very limited audience.
It looks like Tesla’s Full Self Driving feature has stalled. While the CEO of the company has been touting for months the merits of this advanced system which will, when it is truly operational, offer truly autonomous driving without any human intervention. We understand, this functionality is extremely complexas it is complicated for humans and machines to navigate in an urban or rural environment, or even in complex intersections.

While most Tesla owners are happy with the Autopilot feature, it is misnamed. Far from being an automatic pilot system, it is only a driver assistance system that behaves like an adaptive cruise control, an emergency braking assistant or an automated lane keeping system. According to Elon Musk himself, the ultimate goal is to unify the two functionalities, FSD and Autopilotto provide a true autopilot experience for the brand’s customers.
Tesla FSD Mode beta v11 expected to release very soon, but only in North America
The development of the FSD seems to be no longer progressing. Mr. Musk advanced in November 2022 that the functionality would be offered in a beta version 11 shortly. More than 400,000 brand customers would like to take advantage of it, but the president himself keeps pushing back its deployment. This update is extremely important, as it should merge FSD and Autopilot.
The leader of the company promises it by tweet interposed, FSD version 11 beta will be released this week, but in limited beta. Only certain North American customers will therefore be entitled to it. European motorists will be entitled to it a little later, in an indefinite period. The CEO readily admits it. The development of this update is longer and “much more difficult than expected”. This is due, he says, to theimplementation of new neural networks and the use of AI.
