Elon Musk wants to reverse Donald Trump’s Twitter ban

Will Donald Trump be able to return to Twitter? Yes, according to Elon Musk, the new owner of the social network. The billionaire said he wanted to lift the banishment of the former American president during a press conference.


On January 8, 2021, two days after the invasion of the Capitol in Washington, Twitter made the decision to purely and simply ban the account of Donald Trump, the American president then still in office. At a press conference organized by the Financial Times, Elon Musk spoke about the Donald Trump case. Once he is fully invested, he assures that the president will be able to regain possession of his Twitter account.

Elon Musk thinks it was a bad idea to ban Trump

He indeed called the decision to suspend Trump’s account of “morally bad”, “foolish”. During the conference, Musk added that Twitter should be a place where everyone should have the right to have their say.
