EU: Essential travelers must have a complete vaccination scheme in January 2022

The U.S. government will ask people to make essential trips and cross its border by land, have a complete vaccination schedule as of January 22, 2022, as is the case with truck drivers, emergency workers and the government, among others.

According to information from the AP news agency, a senior US government official said that the requirement is aligned with the rules that are in effect for those taking non-essential travel.

Requiring a complete vaccination scheme for people who make essential trips was postponed two months, in relation to tourists, because in the case of truck drivers they are workers that are required in that nation.

It will be necessary to remember that The United States opened its border with Mexico in the first week of November, after it was closed from March 2020 to October 2021 and allowed the crossing by land of people with complete vaccination schedule, with the biologics approved in that nation (Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, BIBP- Sinopharm, Sinovac).

The measure also applies to people entering via ferry, the official told the news agency. These are rules that apply to people who do not have US citizenship, since citizens and residents can enter the country without having any restrictions on their vaccination scheme.

In case they do not have the application of any biological, they are asked to take the coronavirus detection test, in order to motivate them to get vaccinated.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), they are 47 million people are still not vaccinated in the United States.
