Everything we know about Apple’s September event

Few weeks to go Tim Cook and your team raises the (virtual) curtain on a new presentation keynote. It is the traditional event in September of each year, where the company unveils its new range of iPhones and Apple Watch.

So many are the rumors that have been published about it. So let’s make a summary of the main news published, assuming that all of them are true at the end.

As has become a tradition at Apple, in the month of September The company will hold an event (probably virtual, like those of the last two years), to present the new iPhone 14 range and the new Apple Watch 8 series, as the main course of the day.

No confirmed date yet

Apple has not yet started sending the invitations to the event, but it is most likely that said keynote will be held on tuesday september 13, if we take into account that last year, the event was held on Tuesday, September 14. However, famous leaker Max Weinbach recently tweeted that said event would be on September 6, so we’ll see.

The start time of the keynote

If the day is not very clear to us, the start time of the event is. It will be as usual at 10 am in California, seven in the afternoon Spanish time. And the duration, between one and two hours, as always.

Releases

Without a doubt, the new iPhone 14 Pro will be the star of the event, along with the rest of the iPhone 14 range. We will also see the new Apple Watch Series 8, and probably the new second generation of AirPods Pro. Apple will also launch the new iOS 16 and watchOS 9 operating systems, although rumors indicate that iPadOS 16, which is usually released at the same time as iOS, will be released days later, probably in a new keynote scheduled for October.

The new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro

iPhone 14

All the rumors suggest that this year we will have four new iPhones, but the range will be a little different than in recent years with the disappearance of the iPhone mini and a new larger model as a novelty. The Pro models are the ones that get the most news, according to the rumors that have been leaking to this day. Let’s see:

  • iPhone 14: 6.1-inch display with an upgraded A15 chip.
  • iPhone 14Max: 6.7-inch screen with notch, and upgraded A15 chip.
  • iPhone 14 Pro: 6.1-inch screen with a “hole + pill” notch, always-on display, 48-megapixel sensor, 8K video, and new A16 processor.
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6.7-inch screen with “hole + pill” design, always-on screen, 48 MP sensor, 8K video, and A16 processor.

It seems that Apple has wanted to significantly differentiate the iPhone 14 range from that of the iPhone 14 Pro, in order to justify its price difference.

Apple Watch Series 8, Pro and SE 2

It seems that there is a new Apple Watch about to see the light. Rumors point to three new smartwatches, an Apple Watch 8, a new Apple Watch SE and a new Apple Watch prepared for extreme sports.

Apple Watch Series 8– Same design and size (41mm and 45mm) and S7 chip as Apple Watch 7, but new ability to monitor user temperature and alert on fever or fertility tracking.

Apple Watch SE2: Same size (40mm or 44mm), optical heart sensor and electrical heart sensor (ECG), S7 chip always on display.

Apple WatchPro: is undoubtedly the novelty of the event. A new larger 50mm Apple Watch, titanium case, improves tracking metrics for extreme sports enthusiasts, increased shock resistance and better battery life.

Apple WatchPro

AirPods Pro 2

The third-generation AirPods got an update last September, bringing them closer than ever to the AirPods Pro, which is now three years old since its release. So it’s about time for some new AirPods Pro, and rumors indicate they’ll finally launch next month.

AirPods Pro 2– Shorter legs, longer battery life, with Apple’s lossless audio. An update with even more features of the company’s best internal AirPods.

release dates

We hope that the following important dates will be revealed in the event, if it finally takes place on Tuesday, September 13 as everyone anticipates:

Monday September 19: iOS 16 downloads are released. This is based on the fact that last year iOS 15 was made available for download the day after the September event. However, in previous years several days passed between the keynote and the release of iOS.

Friday September 16: Pre-orders for the new iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch are likely to begin, with first deliveries expected the following week.

Friday September 23– It will be when Apple begins to deliver the first orders of at least some models of the new iPhones, AirPods and Apple Watches, but stocks are expected to be low. In previous years, some pre-orders were delayed a few days.

Rumors also point to this Apple event It won’t be the last of the year. Most likely, there will be a new keynote in October in which we will see new Macs and iPads, and it will be when iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura are finally released for all users.

It should be noted that everything we have explained in this article is based on the different rumors that have been appearing in recent weeks, without having nothing certified by Apple. What we are absolutely sure of is that the event will be held in September, and that we will see the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, and the Apple Watch Series 8. Of the rest, we will see if everything is fulfilled in the end or not…
