There is less to go before we officially meet the Samsung’s new flagship, so as we get closer to the presentation date, the rumors and leaks increase considerably to unsuspected levels. With the idea of having everything under control, we wanted to compile the details that have been leaking in recent weeks to find out exactly what awaits us.
When does it show up?
This is a question that has an answer thanks to an oversight of the Colombian subsidiary of Samsung. And it is that the official website of Samsung Colombia erroneously published a banner with the announcement of the next Galaxy Unpacked that will take place on February 1. Said date would not be a big surprise, since it is usually the season of the year in which Samsung presents great launches coinciding with the MWC.

A minimalist design
It seems that Samsung will continue to bet on bare-bones designs and without those marked steps in the camera module that so many manufacturers seem to continue adopting. That being said, everything points to the fact that the design of the Galaxy S22 will continue to be present, especially on the Ultra model, which would still be very similar. Where there will be more changes will be in the S23 and S23 Plus, which will have flatter screens than ever. It seems that the curve has finally ceased to have relevance in the Galaxy family.
Four colors to choose from
One of the latest rumors surrounding the new family of devices revolves around colors. It seems that there will be 4 colors available for the S23, with green, white, purple and black being the versions to choose from, each with an artistic name that will better define them (Botanic Green, Cotton Flower, Misty Lilac and Phantom Black).

Characteristics
As is usual in this Galaxy family, the phones will arrive with IP68 certification to withstand splashes and the occasional dip (other than salt water, of course) and different protections with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass for the screen and Gorilla Glass DX for the cameras.
As for the processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will cover the United States market, and it seems that, finally, It will also come to Europe, so the differences at the level of performance between the models of both markets could end once and for all. At the level of capacities and available memory, these would be the models that would reach stores:
- Galaxy S23: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB
- Galaxy S23Plus: 8GB/256GB, 8GB/512GB
- Galaxy S23 Ultra: 8GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 12GB/1TB
The cameras
It is said that the highest of the range, the S23 Ultra, will mount a powerful 200 megapixel sensorwhile its siblings the S23 and S23 Plus will come equipped with a Improved 50-megapixel main sensor compared to previous generations. We’ll see if they hide some other additional trick, but it seems that the rest will be more or less conservative with respect to the S22.
When can it be purchased?
The most normal thing is that after the presentation the phone reaches the stores about two weeks later, so it should be in the same month of February when we can finally get hold of one of these new Galaxy S23. For now, let’s wait until February 1 to find out all the details about it.
