Expo 2020 Dubai: Celebrate Hidalgo’s Day during Mexico National Week

Within the framework of Mexico Week that takes place in the Expo 2020 Dubai, this Friday, November 12, the Mexico Pavilion celebrated Hidalgo’s Day with the presence of Governor Omar Fayad, accompanied by prominent Mexican scientists and a delegation from the state he represents.

The governor and his team were received at the Mexico Pavilion by the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights, Martha Delgado, the Ambassador of Mexico to the United Arab Emirates, Francisca Méndez and the Director of the Mexico Pavilion, Bernardo Noval.

As a sign of the recognition of the talent that exists in the state of Hidalgo and the ties that are being woven with it. Mexico Pavilion, the largest Tenago Embroidery in the world was placed on the façade, to the delight of the thousands of visitors to the first Universal Exhibition held in the United Arab Emirates.

Before Martha Delgado and special guests, the tenango from “The Great Mexican Republic” was presented, which dressed the facade of the Mexico Pavilion and represents the work of more than a thousand artisans from Hidalgo who embroidered a canvas of 105 square meters with 75 colored threads. a work that has earned the Guinness Record for the world’s largest embroidery and recognition for the most important artistic project in Latin America.

With the arrival of tenango from Hidalgo to the Mexico Pavilion, Our country reiterates its commitment to recognize the cultural rights of Mexican artisans and promote the talent that exists in Mexico before the eyes of the whole world: “The Great Republic” represents weaving the community ties that artisans are making in Tenango de Doria in the State of Hidalgo.

Subsequently, the state delegation presented on the macro screen of the Mexico Pavilion “Espíritu de Hidalgo” an audiovisual piece made by Alex Moreno, a renowned audiovisual producer that highlights the great cultural, economic, social wealth and investment opportunities offered by the state of Hidalgo. .

“Espíritu de Hidalgo is a proposal of the Government of Hidalgo in collaboration with Alex Moreno and Mexican scientists Christian Peñaloza and Parsifal Islas; to project a vision of culture and scientific development in the Mexico Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai ”, said the Governor of Hidalgo, Omar Fayad Meneses.

Then the delegation of the invited state presented before a group of people headed by the Undersecretary Martha Delgado, the Ambassador of Mexico in the United Arab Emirates, the Director of the Mexico Pavilion innovative projects that seek to show Hidalgo as a spearhead in scientific and technological development in Mexico.

The presentation had a demonstration of the greatness of Hidalgo through experiences in Virtual Reality, which were enjoyed by the authorities present, in addition to the guests who, astonished, were able to know a little piece of everything that Hidalgo offers, from the United Arab Emirates. The purpose of this presentation was to publicize the potential of the state to forge important ties of cooperation with investors from this region of the Middle East.

To close Hidalgo’s presence in the United Arab Emirates with a flourish, the Governor Omar Fayad was the special guest at the concert of the Sonora Santanera which was held at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheater, as part of the cultural activities of the Mexico Pavilion in the National Week of Mexico at Expo 2020 Dubai.
