Extremadura will be the guest autonomous community of SIL 2022

The Barcelona International Logistics Exhibition (SIL), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), and which will take place from May 31 to June 2will feature Extremadura as the guest autonomous community in its 22nd edition, which returns with a renewed image after two years of absence due to the pandemic.

With this agreement, the region will have the opportunity to present its initiatives in industry and logistics at the Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain fair in southern Europe.

The act of signing said agreement, which took place at the headquarters of the Junta de Extremadura, was presided over by William Fernandez Varapresident of the Junta de Extremadura and Peter Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and president of the SIL. Also present were Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB and SIL, and Rafael España, Minister of Economy, Science and Digital Agenda of the Junta de Extremadura.

Rafael Spain has highlighted how “the choice of Extremadura as the guest community at the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) in Barcelona has been motivated, among other aspects, by the logistics strategy with which the region has been endowed and by the latest news that highlights all the actions carried out in this matter”.

For his part, Pere Navarro affirms that “Extremadura is a region with great interest and logistical capacity and we are proud that they want to be present at the 22nd edition of SIL to highlight their role before the main players in the sector in Spain, but also internationally”.
