The family is growing. For its tenth opus, the Fast and Furious saga recruits Jason Momoa. The actor should thus face Vin Diesel and all his clique in the film scheduled for 2023.
It’s the end of an era for Fast and Furious. The saga, which smells of asphalt and burnt rubber, will unveil its tenth opus, which should not be the last. A new feature film that promises great entertainment and tender reunions with the people we discovered 21 years ago. All the characters ? Not really since one of them will be absent subscribers.
Despite numerous foot calls from Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will not be in the game. A small quarrel which will nevertheless not prevent the development of the spin-off Hobbs & Shaw 2.
New big arms
To compensate for this absence, Vin Diesel and Universal Pictures have recruited another monster from the small screen. According to DeadlineJason Momoa should thus make his first appearance in the saga, after having largely marked the spirits in the skin ofAquaman at DC.
For now, we do not yet know what role he will play in this new adventure. Ally or enemy? We will have to wait to find out more. The plot of this final part is for the moment still kept secret, just to surprise the fans of the first hour.
We do know, however, that the meeting is set for May 2023, on our screens. This new opus will be directed by Justin Lin, already at work on Tokyo Drift and Fast and Furious 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9. Vin Diesel will be producing.
In front of the camera, we should find Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges and Sung Kang. The fine team will undoubtedly have to face a new planetary threat, which could take them into space? Nothing is impossible for Dominic Toretto and his faithful metal steed.
Until then, we will find Jason Momoa in Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom in December 2022. Still directed by James Wan, too, a regular in the saga Fast and Furious, this second part will follow the new adventures of the superhero. It will reunite with Amber Heard and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Mera and Black Manta respectively. For his part, Vin Diesel will be in the voice cast of Guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 in May 2023 but also of the Disney + series holiday specialwhich as its name suggests should land during the holiday season.
