Instead, Qualcomm’s SoC will be manufactured using the 4nm process, so there’s no reason to think it won’t be efficient once it’s put to the test in real-world environments.
In regards to the core configurationit seems that Qualcomm will bet on one of 1 + 5 + 2 cores instead of 1 + 2 + 2 + 3, so it is assumed that it will try to gain in power. Being more specific, the presumed core configuration of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be a Cortex-X4 core that would run at 3.20GHz in its base configuration and 3.70 or 3.75 gigahertz on Samsung’s future Galaxy S24 series of smartphones, five Cortex-A720 cores that would run at 3GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores that would work at 2GHz.
The alleged configuration that has recently been leaked would represent a significant performance improvement over multicore.
