Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series finally has a name and gives a first look at what’s to come.
The full title of the series was revealed today and the meaning of it is unlikely to leave JRR Tolkien fans unmoved, promising an epic story telling of the major events that unfolded during the Second Age: the Forge. iconic rings.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings the heroic legends of the Second Age of Middle-earth history to the screen for the first time. This series takes place several thousand years before the events of the JRR Tolkien books. The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, transporting us to an era where great powers were forged, where kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, where unlikely heroes were tested, where hope often hung by a thread. and where one of the greatest antagonists ever to come from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover the world in darkness. In the video below captured in slow-motion, Prime Video chose to forge the title in a real foundry, pouring molten metal over wooden logs where the letters were recreated by hand. The title then appears in silver metal, embellished with dialogues in Elvish language inscribed along each letter.
