finally the first images of the Amazon series

After a series of enigmatic posters, The Lord of the Rings from Amazon offers itself real first images. Thanks to Vanity Fair, we finally discover the visual universe of the series and the characters in costume.

This is a major project that Amazon subscribers will be able to discover next September. 5 years after being offered the rights to adapt the Lord of the Rings, the platform will finally unveil its series inspired by the universe created by JRR Tolkien. A production that will immerse us several thousand years before the adventures of Frodo and Sam, at the time of the Second Age. It will be about exploring this era where great powers were forged, where heroes were tested and where hope was often hanging by a thread when one of the most menacing antagonists of the history wanted to cover the world with darkness.

Written by Patrick McKay and John D. Payne, the series dubbed Rings of Power is due to hit our screens on September 2. Until now, the project had remained rather mysterious. Amazon had only shared rather cryptic posters of the various characters that populate this new adventure, where only their hands were shown. But Vanity Fair offers us a first dive into the universe, with a series of unpublished images. We find there a majority of the main actors, starting with Morfydd Clark who will camp a young Galadriel. Robert Aramayo also offers a first exclusive image, in the skin of Beldor. If his face is familiar to you, it’s because he played in another very famous fantasy saga, he played Ned Stark in flashbacks of Game Of Thrones.

It is also a golden opportunity to discover the costumes and sets of this production, which intends to establish itself as a reference for the coming years. A way for Amazon to make a show of force, and to impose itself durably on the ultra-competitive sector of the SVOD. Especially since the platform has put the means, a billion dollars for the production and acquisition of rights. 5 seasons are on the program.
