Apple TV + has released the first picture based on the sci-fi drama with Tom Hanks, titled Finch, also announcing its release date. The film will indeed premiere next November 5th on its video on demand platform.
Finch was directed by Miguel Sapochnik (Game of Thrones, True Detective) and was produced by Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future), so you will understand that there is a lot of interest around this film.
Finch’s first image and its release date
In the film, Hanks plays a robotic engineer named Finch, who is among the few survivors of a solar cataclysm. “While that event made the world a wasteland, Finch built a world of his own that, since then, he has shared with his beloved dog, Goodyear. With Finch also lives in his underground bunker a robot (played by Caleb Landry Jones) that he himself built to watch over Goodyear when he can no longer do so ”.
At the end, “The trio embarks on a journey to a desolate American West, and on this journey, Finch tries to show his creation – which is called Jeff – the joy and wonder that comes with being alive.”
The rest of the cast includes Samira Wiley, Skeet Ulrich and Laura Harrier. The script of the film is by Ivor Powell And Craig Luck, who made his debut in writing a feature film with this project.
Some of the other producers of the film include Kevin Misher (The Prince Seeks Son, Fighting with My Family), Jack Rapke (Cast Away, Flight) and Jacqueline Levine (Witches, Allied).
Finch is an Imagemovers and Misher Films production presented by Amblin Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment, in association with Walden Media.
