For the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man, Panini unveils an ultimate collection at a low price

The cool neighborhood spider turns 60 this year. For the occasion, Panini publishes in France a series of cult comics at a very low price.

If he did not convince Marvel from the start, Spider-Man quickly established himself as one of the most influential superheroes in pop culture. Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in June 1962, the friendly neighborhood spider takes its first glossy steps in Amazing Fantasy #15. A few months later, after the cancellation of the periodical, a first series is dedicated to him. Amazing Spider-Man released on December 10, 1962, and its success is such that the comics book is exported the following year internationallyfirst in Mexico and then in 1969 in France.

Rich in several animated series, films and comics, Spider-Man becomes House of Ideas’ highest-grossing hero. Solo or with the Avengers since 2004, the web weaver enjoys a prolific and multi-media career. To the point this year of becoming the highest-grossing superhero film of all time thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home and its 7 million cinema admissions.

On glossy paper, it is Panini who takes care of publishing the hero in France, in the same way as the rest of the Marvel publications. Since 1997, we no longer count the number of comic books featuring the web weaver at the publisher, to the point that as with many superheroes, it is sometimes difficult to know which way to take it. To put an end to the debate, Panini publishes today Wednesday March 2, 2022, an anniversary collection as beautiful as it is complete. In ten volumes, we find some of the greatest adventures of the weaver, including two signed by the hand of the iconic Stan Lee. The opportunity to discover the many facets of the character, from his questioning in The Redeemer Sagaup to the trauma caused by The Death of Gwen Stacy.

Rich and exhaustive, this anniversary collection signed Panini also allows you to discover some of the Spider-Man’s Greatest Antagonists, like the Green Goblin, Venom or Mysterio. Readers will also be able to discover certain cult episodes centered on Sam Raimi’s trilogy with Tobey Maguire, the Dark Age Marvel or the brilliant animated film Spider-Man: Next GenerationOscar winner in 2019. For video game fans, the collection will also be an opportunity to discover the meeting between Peter Parker and his alter ego Miles Morales, hero of the latest PS5 game dedicated to the masked hero.

Besides being amazing in its content, the Spider-Man anniversary collection is also a very beautiful editorial object. Offered in a beautiful numbered hardcover format, each of the ten issues also includes a few introductory pages, which allow you to better understand the history and context of writing. A very nice surprise therefore, which also stands out for its price: each volume is offered at only €6.99, a little less than 70€ for the complete collection. No more excuses not to fall into the nets of the weaver this year.
