In the vast world of technology, the content piracy It has always been one of the sectors most persecuted by many companies. All of this extends to illegal access to video and audio content, programs, books, operating systems and much more.
At this precise moment, this is a sector that has just suffered a severe blow, largely due to the closure of two important websites related to this subject. To give you an approximate idea of what we are telling you here, say that the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment or ACE, has been in charge of announcing this process. Here we refer to the main worldwide coalition against piracy.
Well, just a few hours ago he made public the announcement about the closure of two websites related to piracy in our country. In fact, we can affirm that these were two of the best-known websites in our region: HD-Spain and Pixelated. It must be taken into account that these two pages that operated on the Internet at a global level, made a wide catalog of multimedia content available to everyone. Among all these, visitors had access to an enormous amount of movies and series illegally today.
From here you could download those contents that approximately numbered more than 26,000 files. As expected, these illegal downloads affected a good number of members affiliated with the aforementioned ACE. A good part of their popularity came from the enormous number of visits they had each month. We are talking about around 300,000 visits per month, plus most of these came from Spain.
ACE closes two important pirate websites in Spain
It must be said that the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment that we mentioned before operates worldwide to end the piracy of content subject to copyright. Hence the closure that they have now announced of these two popular websites in Spain, HD-Spain and Pixelados. This alliance has the support of more than 50 companies related to the communication and entertainment sector around the world. Among the members of its board of directors we find firms of the importance of Netflix,AppleTV, AmazonWalt Disney or sony Pictures, among many others.
It is worth mentioning that, when talking about Pixelados, we are referring to a tracker that appeared from the merger of HD City and HD Spain. At that time, those websites became benchmarks in piracy in our country, something that has now ceased to be available after the ACE coup. All this thanks to a judicial resolution with which the alliance has achieved its objective, the blocking of these web portals. As you can imagine, all this means that when trying to access the websites mentioned, they no longer work when they are not online.
In addition, it must be taken into account that this is only the beginning, since ACE intends to continue fighting against piracy of content in our country with movements like the one mentioned.
