Fotocasa reinforces its strategy of taking advantage of new technologies to optimize the development of the real estate sector, on this occasion, with the purchase of PixiePixel. After years of collaborating with the technological proptech, it has decided to carry out its acquisition in a “Firm commitment to data intelligence and join Adevinta as a team of experts specialized in Big Data technology in the real estate sector”, explains José Manuel Merino, General Manager of Fotocasa and Habitaclia. With this, the person in charge points out that “Fotocasa continues to strengthen its leadership as a strategic provider of data for the real estate sector”.

A clear objective after the collaboration of Fotocasa and PixiePixel has resulted in proposals such as DataVenues, a multiplatform tool to perform property valuation, as well as its analysis and diagnosis to easily and reliably access the most up-to-date information and data on the real estate market.

Fotocasa’s technological commitment

The purchase of PixiePixel confirms Fotocasa’s interest in bringing technology to the real estate professional with solutions that provide added value, continuing in its quest to search for new, innovative and agile functionalities for its users.

On this occasion, the commitment to PixiePixel is based on the fact that it is a reference company in the world of Big Data in the real estate sector that provides solutions for users and customers. The creation of DataVenues is an example of how it puts in the hands of real estate professionals a solution of great help based on data to improve decision-making, and that has also been enriched over the years thanks to the data with the that Fotocasa has to say.

The tool includes updated data for each area, both supply and demand, and also the valuation of the properties and the evolution of their price, both for sale and for rent. In this way, professionals can analyze and understand in depth the supply and demand of each area, counting on the information available for both new and second-hand construction, for homes, garages, storage rooms, premises and offices.

Likewise, the tool combines data from offer and demand from all Adevinta Real Estate data sources, as well as real estate, sociodemographic and economic indicators from the cadastre, the Tax Agency, the National Institute of Statistics and the Ministry of the Ministry of Transport, mobility and urban agenda, among others.

As Diego González, one of the founders of PixiePixel, points out, “During all these years we have worked together with Fotocasa to make DataVenues the benchmark valuation tool in the real estate sector and, thanks to the data provided, we have achieved a solid and very differentiating tool”.

In this sense, the head of the firm trusts that “With the incorporation of the PixiePixel team in Fotocasa we will be able to expand this and other tools that help in decision-making, both for customers and users”.
