The increase in people with the intention of starting a business, in the next three years, which is close to 10% of the population, together with an increase in opportunities perceived in a post-pandemic environment, it suggests a greater growth in entrepreneurial activity. However, despite the increase in the rate of potential entrepreneurs, it is still far from reaching the EU average of 15%.

Qualities that an entrepreneurial profile must have

They usually have clear ideas and are not afraid to face and take risks, as well as get out of their comfort zone and face new situations. They are usually people who know how to prioritize and differentiate between what is urgent, what is important and what can wait. Sociable people, who stand out for their ability to relate to others and know how to communicate their ideas and dialogue. They do not give up at the first change, they take the mistake as a learning opportunity and are tenacious and persistent until they achieve their goals. At the same time, they tend to be flexible, with an innate ability to adapt to change and with resilience. Finally, entrepreneurs stand out for their optimism; if they have to see the glass as half full or half empty, they will always see it as half full.

Something that all entrepreneurs usually have in common It is a clear purpose and not giving up at the first change, but this does not mean that fears and doubts do not arise.

In the words of Robles, “Job scarcity remains the main motivating factor for 70% of entrepreneurs, but fear of failure also limits a large percentage (42%). The doubt of whether it will work out is the main one that everyone has and then the doubt of where to start. However, to resolve the latter, postgraduate courses are of great help.”.

Environments with more future for entrepreneurs

Grants and subsidies for young entrepreneurs in Spain

Also there are subsidies for technology-based companies. To qualify for these grants for young entrepreneurs, the projects must be at least 6 years old at the time the grant is awarded. In addition, research and development costs must account for at least 15% of the total costs during 1 of the 3 years prior to the award.
