It was during Apple’s September 2021 keynote that the four new iPhone 13s were unveiled. If the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 bring only a few small improvements compared to their previous version, it is especially the Pro versions which stand out with rather impressive additions. These premium smartphones are already in pre-order, but surprise: the price of each model already benefits from a reduction of 50 euros.

Thus, the iPhone 13 is displayed at 859 euros instead of 909 euros at RED by SFR. The price of iPhone 13 mini goes from 809 euros to 759 euros. As for the Pro versions, the iPhone 13 Pro is offered at 1,109 euros instead of 1,159 euros, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max at 1,209 euros against 1,259 euros initially.

To better understand the offer

  • What are the characteristics of the iPhone 13?

In terms of its design, the iPhone 13 does not bring any major novelty: we find, as on the iPhone 12, straight edges with an aluminum outline. For the size of the screen, Apple does not change a winning team, it is a 6.1-inch panel that integrates the iPhone 13, like its predecessor. Its refresh rate is blocked at 60 Hz, unlike the Pro versions whose rate can climb much more. The screen is also OLED, which ensures a very good image quality, with its infinite contrasts and deep blacks.

On the other hand, on the power side, the iPhone 13 benefits from a performance boost thanks to its A15 chip. On the photo side, we will be entitled to two 12 + 12 megapixel sensors, a wide-angle and an ultra-wide angle, which have the advantage of being 92% larger than those of previous smartphones. What to bring much more light, and to benefit from a better rendering of the captured photos. For video, we can also take advantage of the cinematic mode, rather gadget, but which allows to adjust in real time the depth of field to obtain a rather nice cinema effect. In terms of autonomy, we will be able to hold 24 hours without having to rush to its charger during the day.

  • What about the iPhone 13 mini?

Unsurprisingly, the iPhone 13 mini has a lot in common with its big brother, the classic iPhone 13. We will first find the same A15 chip, as well as the same camera with its two sensors of 12 megapixels each. The design will also be the same, except, of course, at the level of the screen. The iPhone 13 mini’s only measures 5.4 inches, a size that will be perfect for those who don’t really appreciate large smartphones (which are legion on the market today). As for autonomy, which has been really improved, according to Apple, we would gain 1h30 of use compared to the 12 mini.

  • How do the Pro versions stand out?

The brand’s most expensive models, the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, are those on which Apple has necessarily gone the extra mile when it comes to improvements. Thus, for example, we have an A15 chip that is much more efficient than the one that equips their little brothers. But it will be especially in the photo, as was the case for the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, that these iPhones stand out the most. Both have a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with x3 optical zoom, a 12-megapixel wide-angle and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle as well as a LiDAR sensor. The Pro versions also have a rather impressive macro mode, and allow you to capture pretty portraits in night mode. Autonomy is not to be outdone with a duration of use of 20 hours in streaming for the Pro, and 25 hours for the Pro Max.

Finally, on the design side, the iPhone 13 Pro has a 6.1-inch screen, against 6.7 inches for the 13 Pro Max. Above all, their screens benefit from the ProMotion which can raise their refresh rate to 120 Hz. In short, the assurance of excellent comfort of use on a daily basis.
