Galaxy A34, an affordable alternative to the Galaxy S23

The Galaxy A34 will be one of the smart phones that Samsung markets in the first part of the year. And it will be of interest to those looking for a quality mid-range with sufficient features, without having to spend the price that requires access to its top of the range.

Samsung is carefully preparing the launch of the Galaxy S23, the new top of the range to compete with Apple’s iPhone 14 and the rest of the high-end with Android. But they will not be the only new terminals that reach the market at the start of 2023 since for a few years the manufacturer has promoted its ‘A’ series to fight the highly competitive mid-range.

The Galaxy A34 aims to be one of the first for this year and the truth is that the features leaked so far they aim very well. Last week it was listed by India’s communications regulator indicating a near launch.

Galaxy A34: more than enough for most users

A screen 6.5-inch multi-touch Super AMOLED tops the specifications of this mobile. With a native FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2400 pixels), a 90Hz refresh rate and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective layer, it is a sample of the quality screens that Samsung Display usually produces.

Its chipset also stays at home, with an 8-core Exynos 1280 (2 ARM Cortex-A78 cores and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 cores), 5nm manufacturing, Mali-G68 GPU and support for 5G and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

will be accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage internal. Its camera system mounts a triple sensor on the rear with a 48MP main and a 13MP front.

The battery is not bad either with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and fast charging of 33W. On the right side you can find the power button and also the volume button. We do not see the fingerprint sensor there, which indicates that it will be located under the screen.

With Android 12 as standard, upgradable to Android 13 and with support for 2 other changes to major versions of the operating system, the terminal will be offered in four different color options, graphite black, purple, lime and silver. We don’t know availability, but it should hit the market very soon. As for price, there is talk of 24,000 rupees for the Indian market, about 290 dollars To the change. Not bad for its features, more than enough for the needs of most users.
