Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag

Samsung could launch its new folding smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, with a new range of connected objects. Among these will be the second iteration of the Galaxy SmartTag. The Korean giant entered the connected beacon market in 2021. The Korean brand’s Bluetooth tracker is far from being a commercial success. The testers criticized it in particular for its size, and above all, its limited compatibility with Samsung devices.

According to a source from Sam Mobile, a presentation event for smartphones and accessories such as the Galaxy SmartTag 2 will be held within six months. The first version of the tracked offers features identical to those found in connected beacons such as Tile and other Apple AirTags. The Asian device has a more “functional” design for it, but is limited to devices in the SmartThings ecosystem. The general opinion is that it does not have the arguments to compete with theApple’s hegemony in the field of connected beacons. Will this new iteration manage to shake the firm at the apple?

Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come with Galaxy SmartTag 2

With its Galaxy SmartTag 2, Samsung is giving itself a second chance to convince the public to adopt its object tracker. How to improve its product, if not by opening it to all Android devices, increasing its Bluetooth detection range and strengthening its security? No details have yet transpired regarding the beacon’s technical sheet. Once again, Samsung will play it collectively, since the Galaxy SmartTag 2 will be part of a range of connected objects. She will be accompanied by Galaxy Buds 3 headphones and Galaxy Watch 6.

Samsung is not giving up on the idea of finding a place in the sun in the connected objects sector. Will the company manage to stand out? Impossible to say for now. That said, the most anticipated devices at this event will not be Samsung’s connected objects. All eyes will be on the company’s new folding smartphones. it is thus said that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could carry the largest external screen on the market.
