One of the most exciting announcements at the end of the year has been that of the long-awaited arrival of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen, and it seems that GeForce NOW was waiting for it as eagerly as we were, in view of the rapid response they have given to said announcement. As you will remember, just a few weeks ago CD Projekt Red surprised and delighted us by announcing that this highly anticipated update would be released on December 14, less than a week from today, Friday the 9th, and, to whet our appetites, a few days later it also published the Long-awaited first trailer, with which we can already get an idea of what awaits us on the increasingly approaching holidays.
The prospects are spectacular, of course… but only for those who have the necessary hardware to get the most out of the graphic improvements that we will find in this great update that, let’s remember, is completely free for users who already have the original title. And this is where GeForce NOW comes in, the NVIDIA cloud gaming service that, a few days after the arrival of the update, has announced that users of the service will be able to enjoy The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next on it. Gen. The updated game will be available on GeForce NOW starting next Wednesday.that is, ready from its very arrival to the users.
But this is not the only novelty that relates NVIDIA to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next-Gen, since users of RTX graphics cards who wish to play it on their own PC will also find an update to the Game Ready drivers that it will offer, among other, the following improvements to players of the CD Projekt Red title:
- Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTXGI).
- Ambient occlusion with ray tracing.
- Ray-traced shadows.
- Ray-traced reflections.
- DLSS 3.
So, as you can see, in addition to the usual improvements in the performance of the games for which the NVIDIA drivers have been optimized, we will also find a huge improvement in the graphics section, which will provide a spectacular gaming experience for both those who facing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the first time, as for those who have already done so at the time or over the years since.
This new version of the Game Ready drivers also adds compatibility with one of the announcements that has surprised us the most in recent months, Portal RTX, the surprising update of the Valve classic, of which you can read a very complete technical analysis here, and which without a doubt it must have made GLaDOS emotional (although obviously she is not going to show it, we already know how she is…).
