Said robot uses Energy Robotics software, and through the Getac F110-EX tablet inspection routes can be taught which will then have to follow this robot during its work round, which it will carry out completely autonomously. This is part of a major project whose main objective is to evaluate the usefulness of an automated robotic solution for maintenance and inspection in the chemical industry.
The main task of the robot consists, as we have said, in going through preprogrammed inspection routes while at the same time collecting strategic operational data. The robot also performs automated security inspections that cannot be integrated into a remote maintenance concept (or only with disproportionate costs).
