Ghost of Ikishima could be the new expansion of Ghost of Tsushima

According to some rumors (it seems to be real leaks) Ghost of Tsushima could receive a huge new expansion titled Ghost of Ikishima before the end of the year.

The leak in question, coming from an insider, speaks of a standalone DLC similar to that of Spider-Man: Miles Morales before the end of the year.

Will Ghost of Ikishima be the new Ghost of Tsushima DLC?

If these rumors are true, it could be an expansion that would complement the free co-op mode Legends released after the game’s launch in 2020.

This would be something that will make PlayStation gamers and users happy given that, to date, a far from sparkling second half of 2021 for Sony’s lineup of releases is expected.

Ghost of Tsushima, of which you can read our review, was a commercial and critical success, selling over 6.5 million copies (as of March 2021) and proving to be one of the most convincing IPs in recent years.

Although it is Sony that Sucker Punch Productions were aware of the goodness of this exclusive PlayStation, no one expected such a response from the public and critics. The success of the game prompted the developer to support the game with a multiplayer update and more.

Furthermore, Ghost of Tsushima will also become a film, confirming all the narrative potential of this unexpected saga, with Sucker Punch who will try to keep the interest in this IP high towards the players, especially after other recent rumors that speak of the landing of the title also on PC.

In short, between a real sequel already in the programs and this papabile standalone DLC, there will really still be much to tell (and to discover) in the ancient feudal Japan where the game is set.
