Well, buy a great PC, good components, fast, beautiful and perhaps at a good price, but if you don’t have a good chassis you are going to make them suffer in terms of temperatures. Above, if you are not very knowledgeable in the installation you can face problems with depending on which components, so choosing a good box is essential both for cooling and for comfort. For this reason, this CORSAIR 4000D will not come to you even painted, especially when you know that its price has fallen by 30%.
CORSAIR 4000D: a semi-tower ATX case with premium features
What can we expect from a box that is currently well below 100 euros when it was previously above? Maybe not too much you could think, but this is not the case. We are talking about a model that comes in two different versions: 4000D and 4000D Airflow, where this time we have the first on offer, which integrates a solid steel front panel that gives it an elegant and sober appearance, as well as better durability.
The materials are undoubtedly premium, since we deal with steel, tempered glass and ABS plastic, where of course we have a chassis in said metal, a window with said glass and of course some finishes in ABS of the highest quality to keep the price at the limit .
One of the parts that makes up this ABS plastic is the internal and rear wiring system that this CORSAIR 4000D has. The brand has called it Rapidroute and it is not a bad definition, since we will have up to 25 mm of space to channel the cables of the power supply to achieve a more attractive and organized design or cable management.
Powerful fans for improved cooling and extensive possibilities
This box integrates two new fans called AirGuide that are equipped with new blades that allow the air to be pushed more perpendicularly and with greater force, avoiding its eddies and improving the passage of air.
In terms of expansion options, we have a maximum of 6 120mm or 4 140mm fans, all counting between the front and the ceiling. On liquid cooling, we speak of a radiator in the front of up to 360 mm or a 280 mm in the roof. The SSD and HDD are well resolved thanks to the ability to include 2 of the former in 2.5 inches or two of the latter in 3.5 inches.
Last but not least, we have a front with USB 3.0 Type A, USB 3.1 Type C connections, a mini Jack for microphone and headphones, and of course the Power and Reset button. Finally, there is the option of installing the GPU vertically, but for this we will have to buy the retention bracket in PCIe 3.0 separately.
How much is this wonder worth? Well, it goes from costing 101 euros to 69.99 euros, a drop of 30% for this CORSAIR 4000D.
