GMK NucBox 10 is an x86 mini-PC powered by AMD Ryzen 5000

GMK NucBox 10 It is another x86 architecture mini-PC with a shape similar to that of the small Intel NUC models (we remember that the Extreme is much more bulky), but with AMD Ryzen 5000 technology at the processor level, so we find integrated graphics RX Vega 8 instead of RDNA 2.

Compared to other similar mini-PC models, the GMK NucBox 10 stands out for having a blue-gray chassis, which gives it a distinctive look compared to many of its competitors. Its dimensions are 12.45 x 11.18 x 3.81 centimeters and its weight is about 339 grams.

As for the processor, which acts as the brain and heart of the machine at the same time, it is a AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with eight physical cores, sixteen threads, a base frequency of 1.9GHz, a maximum clock speed of 4.4GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 16MB L3 cache, and a configurable TDP of between 10 and 25 watts. What integrated graphics includes RX Vega 8 technology, which has to be taken into account if the intention is to use this equipment to play some relatively heavy video games. At the moment there is no record of GMKtek having jumped to Intel Alder Lake or AMD Ryzen 6000.

Regarding memory, the user will find 16GB of RAM along with 512GB of capacity for data storage in SSD format, by PCIe 3 interface and in M.2 2280 form factor. The user can expand the capacity of the GMK NucBox 10 up to 64GB of RAM and has at his disposal four M.2 2280 slots with PCIe 3 support to provide it with a data storage up to 2TB. It also includes a slot for a microSD card.

As for connections, it has two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, four USB Type-A 3.2, one RJ45 connector for 2.5Gbps Ethernet, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a reset button. Wirelessly, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed as the operating system and its base price is about $600.
