While we still have to wait a few months before getting our hands on God of War Ragnarök, tension has risen a notch among players this week. The game is undoubtedly the most anticipated of this end, as evidenced by the special editions resold at exorbitant prices on eBay by scalpers. So what happened to make the networks panic even more in recent days? It’s simple: it only took a little tweet from Cory Barlog.

This Tuesday, the creative director of the game indeed published this enigmatic tweet: “I’m still trying to recover from the last 30 minutes of God of War Ragnarök”, accompanied by emojis that suggest a crazy end tweet. But of course, this one was careful not to say more. Fans therefore now expect an even more daunting ending than that of the 2018 opus, which is already very emotionally charged.

What can the end of God of War Ragnarok have in store for us?

For appeal – attention, spoilers zone – God of War first of the name (at least, its 2018 reboot) ended with a shocking revelation: Atreus, the son of Kratos who follows him throughout the adventure, is not other than Loki. However, in Nordic mythology, the latter has a preponderant role in Ragnarök, the sweet name given to the end of the worlds. Therefore, all theories are valid to try to find out how the next game will end.

Will Atreus cause the end of the world? Or on the contrary, sacrifice yourself while trying to save him? After all, Cory Barlog has already confirmed that this new installment will mark the end of Kratos’ Nordic adventures. For the answer, we will unfortunately have to wait until November 9, 2022, the official release date of the game. Until then, do not hesitate to share your own theories with us in the comments.
