God of War Ragnarok, one of the most anticipated games of the end of the year, will be available from this Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at midnight. And just hours away from launch, the developers at Santa Monica Studio are strongly encouraging players to download the Day One patch to get the best possible experience.
As you may know, God of War Ragnarok, one of the most anticipated games of the end of the year, lands on PS4 and PS5 this November 9, 2022. From midnight, players will be able to discover the rest of the adventures of Kratos and Atreus within the 9 kingdoms of Norse mythology.
After unveiling all the graphics modes available for the title, Santa Monica Studio has just taken the floor again, just a few hours from launch. The developers have released the full God of War Ragnarok Day One patch note.

And in order to have the best possible experience, the studio strongly encourages players to download this substantial update. It must be said that on reading the patch note, the fixes are extremely numerous and concern in particular the dialogues, the cutscenes, but also the quests and the overall progression, without forgetting the fights, the gameplay, the interface or even the stability and the performances of the title.
We learn for example that by downloading this patch, players will avoid framerate drops, cutscenes not playing, or lack of visual effects on specific attacks. On PS5, a patch has been deployed to improve DualSense haptic feedback support.
The PS4 also benefited from some specific fixes :
- Fixed several instances of loading issues
- Fixed a few cases where the world was loading slowly, causing the graphics to temporarily degrade
- Fixed an extremely rare crash when loading a save file
