The almost obligatory nature of vaccination by Apple employees is not exclusive to the Cupertino company, other large companies technology including Google, Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, etc., would also be requiring employees to get the vaccine for COVID-19 before showing up again at the offices. This is happening mostly in the United States due to spikes in cases and especially by some employees who flatly refuse to be vaccinated.
It is true that large technology companies continue to give their employees a field on vaccine issues, but at the time of returning to the facilities they must be vaccinated most of them since in this way the rest of the staff and especially themselves are protected.
Now Google, Netflix, Facebook, Adobe, VMware, Twilio or Asana are some of the many technologies that are adding to the requirement to be vaccinated so that cases decrease, you can continue working without confining so many people and above all protect employees. Others do not plan to return to the offices at the moment and continue to telework, so requesting vaccination almost obligatory for the moment does not fit into their plans. And is that COVID can still be caught even if you are vaccinated but the incidence rates are lower or they seem to be milder in people.
In our country we are suffering a fifth wave of cases That seems to stop at all and although it is true that the majority of the population is being vaccinated against this damn disease, many still do not get the vaccine and this prevents the release of beds in hospitals or in other words, “rest” of the workers in these hospitals who have been fighting the virus for many months. No one can force you to get the vaccine but it is an act of solidarity just like wearing the mask for short distances outdoors or indoors.
