More recently, other leaks have confirmed the existence of the smartphone. The Pixel Fold has indeed appeared in the database of Geekbench, the benchmarking application. According to information from our colleagues at 9to5Google, a very reliable specialized media, the foldable smartphone “will be available internationally by the end of 2022”. Unsurprisingly, however, there may be a gap between the release in the United States and the release in Europe. Likewise, it is to be expected that some countries will be deprived of the terminal, as was the case for several generations of Pixel.
The report also mentions the selling price of the device. The Pixel Fold would be marketed around 1400 dollars in the United States, which is $500 more than the Pixel 6 Pro, the highest-end device in its catalog. This is not surprising given the high price of terminals with foldable screens. In France, we can expect a price of around 1400 euros. With this price, the Pixel Fold would position itself as a more affordable alternative to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3.
