Grupo MasMovil closes the first quarter of 2022 with a 39% increase in revenue

The MoreMovil Group has announced the results for the first quarter of its fiscal year 2022, which show that the company continues to grow in all its main areas. Thus, between January and March the group has had some total revenue of 733 million eurosan amount that represents 39% more than that entered in the first quarter of 2021. During those three months, in addition, its income from services improved by 42%, and 7% organically, to 670 million euros.

In that quarter, MasMovil’s Ebitda rose 51% to 277 million euros, while its Ebitda margin reached 38%, three points more than in the same period last year. At the end of the period, the group had 14.7 million total lines, 25% more than at the end of 2021. Of these, 11.6 million are mobile lines. 8.9 million are from the postpaid segment, 33% more than last year. Another 3.1 million are fixed broadband lines, 48% more year-on-year.

Throughout the first quarter of the year, the group managed to capture 70,000 new broadband lines, and added 163,000 new mobile postpaid lines. MasMovil made investments worth 124 million euros in infrastructure and commercial growth in the period, and already has fiber optic network coverage that covers almost all households in Spain, since it can already reach 27 .2 million homes, and it is the operator with the largest fiber coverage nationwide.

In addition, its own mobile network and agreements with other operators allow the group to have 4G coverage of 98.5% of the population and offer 5G services in nearly 900 Spanish towns spread over 40 provinces. It has 80 MHz in the 3.5 GHz band to offer 5G services and is currently the operator with the largest amount of spectrum for each of its customers in Spain.
