There is nothing worse than the analysis of financial results. Quarterly tables with soporific calculations that would put anyone to sleep, with numbers representing games sold, consoles distributed around the world and estimates of what they will earn next year. Is there something really important behind all these numbers? Well, wait until you see the conclusions that can be drawn from the latest Take-Two reports.
The release date of GTA 6
If you were told that from a table of sales estimates you could get the GTA 6 release dateyou would probably say that they are kidding you, but the truth is that this is exactly what happened with the latest report published by Take-Two on the financial results of the last year, a document that also talks about the estimates that they have calculated for next year, and where a rather interesting conclusion can be reached: a great launch is coming.
At IGN they have been very quick when reviewing the documentation they saw that Take-Two calculated that for the fiscal period of the year 2025 would gather a total of 8 billion dollars. These are incredible figures that are indeed within the reach of a company like Take-Two, however, what is interesting is that during the fiscal period of 2023 they have reported a total of 5.3 billion dollars.
If we analyze the data, knowing that in the recently closed period they obtained 5,300 million, what exactly are they going to do to raise almost 3,000 million? Easy, they’re going to launch THE GAME.
Little things are coming
In the words of the editor herself, “In fiscal year 2025, we look forward to entering this new era with the launch of several innovative titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve more than $8 billion in net bookings and more than $1 billion in unrestricted adjusted operating cash flow”.
That is between the months of April 2024 and March 2025 we would have to see several major launches that are capable of generating a lot of sales around the world. And of course, if there is a game that is capable of that and more, it is none other than GTA.
As if that were not enough, the analysis adds that for fiscal year 2026 they expect to further increase operating results, so to go above 8 billion, a gigantic machine is needed that keeps users hooked, consuming as if there were no tomorrow. Did someone say GTA Online?
