Although little is known about the series at the moment, the production of Halo is continuing and the latest update comes directly from 343 Industries, which heralds a much broader immersion into the character of Master Chief, with aspects of the protagonist never explored in video games.

Interviewed by IGN, Kiki Wolfkill talked about the challenge of bringing a character like Master Chief outside the game and in making it more complete:

Probably the biggest challenge in adapting the game is that the game was designed to fit into Chief’s armor. What we’re asking people to do is sit back and look at the unexplored sides of Master Chief that can’t be in the game.

Wolfkill He also talked about the stress associated with making the series, due to the pressure in dealing with the adaptation of a successful video game like Halo into a live action show.

In order not to be overwhelmed by pressure and stress, I focus on where we need to go and on the best way to do it. We want to create something new in Halo, something that people perceive and experience differently. There is such a responsibility about it, coupled with the personal urge to want to create something extraordinary.

Despite some different and more in-depth aspects, the series will respect the canon of Halo, present in video games, comics, novels and previously made series.

The role of Master Chief will be entrusted to Pablo Schreiber, Natasha McElhone will be both Dr. Catherine Halsey and Cortana while Shabana Azmi will be Admiral Margaret Parangosky.

New characters such as the Spartan will also be introduced to the series Vannak 134 interpreted by Bentley Kalu, the Spartan Riz 028 interpreted by Natasha Culzac and the Spartan Kai 125 interpreted by Kate Kennedy.

The first season will consist of 10 episodes and is expected to arrive in 2022, with several episodes directed by Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) and written by Kyle Killen.
