With the launch of Windows 11, many were the users who did not see with good eyes that the taskbar will show all its content in the center of it, leaving the traditional design where all the elements that are displayed were aligned to the left. If your computer is not compatible with Windows 11 and you want to enjoy the taskbar of this in Windows 10, then we show you how to do it.
Microsoft claimed that the new design, which should have been implemented much earlier, is motivated by the use of widescreen displays that force the user to continually move their eyes or even their heads to access the home button. On the Internet we can find a large number of applications that allow us to customize the taskbar, however, it is necessary to maintain the applications open in the backgroundso we are consuming a series of very valuable resources, especially when it comes to teams with a few years behind them.
From the Windows configuration options, making a series of configuration changes, we can change the appearance of the Windows 10 taskbar so that it looks very similar to that of Windows 11. If we do not like the result, we can always choose by applications designed specifically to make this change, taking into account the resources they consume. To move all the icons that are shown on the Windows taskbar to the central area, we must access the taskbar options by clicking the right mouse button on any area where there is no element. Within this menu we access the option Toolbar and we select Links.
From this moment on, a new item will be displayed on the taskbar with the name Links. Now, we just have to press and hold it to move it to the left, next to the search box button. Next, we just have to click on the two vertical lines that have been shown when activating the links to the right to move all icons that are displayed on the taskbar to the central area. It is not an automatic process, but we must do it manually. The greater the number of icons displayed, the easier it is to find the exact center.
If we want to reduce the number of elements that are displayed, we can take advantage of the fact that we are working with the taskbar to hide the search box if we do not give it any use and incidentally, hide the Cortana button, functions that we can do directly by clicking on the taskbar with the right mouse button.
