Dassault Systèmes has just announced the appointment of Hicham Kabbaj as the new CEO of the company for Spain and Portugal. In his new position, he will be responsible for directing the company’s operations in Iberia, and driving the group’s business in the Spanish and Portuguese key accounts.
The executive shared today with the media what are the main priorities and challenges that the company is setting in Spain in this new stage, that is to say: consolidating the presence of Dassault Systèmes in the industrial sector (in which it has been working for past 40 years in our country together with companies such as Airbus or CAF) entering segments such as automobile electrification, diversifying its business by betting on new sectors such as consumer goods, energy or fashion, and promoting the development of some brands that up to now have had less experience as simulate (simulation), Delma (optimization of the supply chain) or netvibes (analytics).
Regarding the company’s activity in the last year, Kabbaj is convinced that 2023 will continue to show the good trend of 2022 and considers that despite the global uncertainty, Dassault Systèmes’ activity is so diversified globally that it is not should suffer from the economic turmoil.
Rather to the contrary, Kabbaj explains that Dassault Systèmes is one of the great beneficiaries of the fact that more and more companies (and even cities) are turning to the development of digital twins as a way to save costs and speed up the process. time to market.
