With its HONOR 70 smartphone, its HONOR Pad 8 tablet and its HONOR MagicBook 14 laptop, the brand continues to enrich its ecosystem, which also benefits from advanced software functions to link all these devices together.
HONOR has been ramping up announcements recently, expanding its brand from both a hardware and software perspective. The manufacturer is showing itself to be more and more ambitious and intends to impose itself on the market thanks to the establishment of its own open ecosystem and the creation of a totally fluid user experience through transparent interactions between its various terminals.
Smartphone, laptop and tablet: new products with unbeatable value for money
For this back-to-school season, HONOR has graced us with the launch of three new flagship products:
- The HONOR 70 : a smartphone with premium features, but at a contained price.
- The HONOR Pad 8 : a large format tablet for multimedia.
- The HONOR MagicBook 14 : an ultraportable PC aimed at content creators and mobile workers.
In a few words, the HONOR 70 is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED screen surrounded by very thin borders. It offers an FHD + and HDR10 + display as well as an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz for better fluidity, and is powered by a Snapdragon 778G + 5G chip engraved in 6 nm ensuring both performance and energy efficiency. With a generous autonomy thanks to a large 4800 mAh battery supporting a charging power of 66W, the smartphone’s battery regains 60% of its capacity in just 20 minutes of charging. We discuss mobile photo and video talents in more detail later in this article.
The HONOR Pad 8 is the first HONOR tablet marketed in France. It is distinguished by its large 12-inch diagonal, which meets both productivity and entertainment needs. The FullView 2K screen has a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels and can display 1 billion colors for true image fidelity. The screen-to-body ratio of 87% allows for better immersion, as do the eight integrated stereo speakers in charge of the audio part. To top it off, we have a long-lasting 7250 mAh battery promising up to 14 hours of gaming or 10 hours of online videos without having to recharge it.
The HONOR MagicBook 14 2022 is the latest addition to the laptop segment in the HONOR ecosystem. This ultraportable to take easily everywhere with you benefits from a design with finesse, lightness and class. It is also very powerful thanks to its 12th generation Intel Core i5-12500H processor. One of its configurations even embeds an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card, under Ampere architecture, promising a good gaming experience while controlling its energy consumption.
Its XXL 75 Wh battery allows it to operate on standby for up to 17 hours with the screen on. A performance made possible thanks to OS Turbo technology which ensures synergy between hardware and software, and reduces energy consumption by up to 20.8% compared to the previous generation. And in just 15 minutes of charging, the computer gains 3.5 hours of autonomy thanks to the fast charge at 135W.
HONOR Connect: Multiple Devices, One Unified Experience
For an ever more connected experience, HONOR Connect enables intelligent collaboration between the brand’s various devices. Thanks to this feature, laptop, smartphone and tablet work perfectly together, without the need to install an application on each device. You have the possibility of displaying the screen of your mobile on the desktop of your laptop and interacting with it using your mouse or your touch screen. You can thus control your mobile phone directly from your PC without having to juggle between two machines. You can even use your laptop camera to answer your Whatsapp calls!
Transferring files between two HONOR terminals is also made easy. Simply drag files from one device to another to effortlessly send documents, photos, videos or audios to and from the device of your choice. With this option you even have the opportunity to enter text on the smartphone or tablet with the keyboard of the laptop. With HONOR Connect, everyday actions become more convenient and quick, improving productivity for work, study, or personal projects.
Solo Cut mode for content creators
HONOR also thinks of content creators. Its HONOR 70 is the ideal smartphone for shooting vlogs and videos in social media format (Instagram and Facebook stories, TikTok, etc.) thanks to the introduction of a brand new option: Solo Cut mode. This allows you to record two videos simultaneously: the first makes a close-up of a single person in the scene within a group and the second offers a wide shot so that everyone enters the frame. We thus have two points of view at the same time, which would otherwise require two cameras and more complicated logistics to obtain the same result. Whether for live or for video editing, the effect is guaranteed.
And for unparalleled photo and video quality, the HONOR 70 relies on a configuration with two main sensors: a 54 MP Sony IMX800 Super Sensing module with a size of 1/1.49 inch, ideal for low-light photos, as well as than a 50 MP lens combining ultra wide-angle and macro.
