How is Star Wars Jedi Survivor doing with the latest patch?

Four patches now!

Well yes, oddly enough, since Star Wars Jedi Survivor will arrive in stores has seen how about four patches were released on PC, that continue to this day without solving the huge number of errors that attack players when they play a game on PC. Because although things work reasonably well on consoles, within the Windows ecosystem the movie is very different.

But hey, as we tell you, A new patch has been published that tries to correct a large part of the bugs that it is giving in many PC configurations, and although we can say that it has sweetened the experience quite a bit, and it is no longer so disastrous, it does leave out some solutions that, we understand, will be undertaken from the next few days.

The most obvious is that Star Wars Jedi Survivor has substantially reduced the stuttering and that, therefore, it is less annoying when we start to play although, yes, it still feels very slow on some occasions. Luckily, the application of the latest patch has brought certain improvements, such as an increase in frames per second under certain configurations, of around four to eight frames. It’s not much, but it’s something.

Things the patch doesn’t improve

The installation of the patch gives us a first and clear impression: your app doesn’t make the game feel like it’s running much better, reaching the minimum required level, but it does not become bad at all. So that “less bad” becomes a consolation for the player, who perceives that now on his computer Star Wars Jedi Survivor it is somewhat more stable and reliable.

Even so, if we want to apply the highest quality graphic level, we are going to have a hard time if we decide to play in a glorious 4K: only in 1080p and 1440p things seem to improve although, paradoxically, the good sensations are spoiled at the moment in which we apply presets medium levels or low, where Star Wars Jedi Survivor responds worse than in higher resolutions. Yes, exactly, it doesn’t seem to make any sense.

This problem has some clear victims and they are users with PCs with relatively old hardware or who have a Steam Deck, where they are going to verify that things are not working well for them and that this reduction in performance affects them especially. It must be borne in mind that the Valve laptop has been transformed over the last year into a place where many enjoy gamers of the most recent news from the online store, so it is certain that something like this will not sit well with them.

Be that as it may, Electronic Arts and Respawn are working in more patches that will arrive in the coming weeks with the aim of leaving Star Wars Jedi Survivor as it should have originally arrived in stores. That it is without major failures and performing in the way that is required of a novelty of 2023. Or maybe that is why it has arrived like this?
