Every day we can personalize our devices more, which without a doubt includes our Apple Watch. And not only can we do it by changing the strap of our watch according to the outfit we wear that day, but also we can change and customize the faces of our watch, “turning” it into a precious Rolexbut for much less money.
We can do it in several ways, in the native way of Apple, spheres that already come from the factory on our device, or we can use third-party applications, as is the case.
We will start by talking about the famous application Clockology, which allows us to personalize our Apple Watch quite deeply, because we can design custom spheres for all Apple Watch models. It is especially useful for making covers with relevant data for us and also for customizing the spheres of the device according to the strap or the clothes we are wearing. We can pretend to wear a Rolex or a Casio on our wrist.
Sometimes using Clockology correctly is a bit complicated, so in today’s article, I’m going to show you step by step.
Configuring clockology step by step to simulate a Rolex
First, we need to download the Clockology app from the App Store, it’s free. You should know that Apple frequently removes it from the application catalog, so maybe at the time you are reading this article you will not find it in the app storebut don’t worry, today, I will also show you other customization options, not as complete as this one, but easier to use.
Once the application is downloaded, we should download the content of Watch Faces, which is necessary to be able to install some covers on our Apple Watch device. We simply have to follow the steps, it is very simple.
We save the downloaded content on our iPhonein the Clockology folder itself, which should be in Files on our device.
Now yes, on our iPhone we open the Clockology application, and we go to the screen where it appears «Enable Beta Clock» and on the Apple Watch we look for the Clockology app and open it. Once the app is open on our Apple Watch, click on “Enable Beta Clock” on our iPhone, and It syncs automatically.
Now in our iPhone we look for the Watch Faces folder, which we have downloaded in the previous step, and we select the cover that we like the most for our Apple Watch. We will find many spheres in this folder, some Rolex type, others Casio, also movie covers, drawings…
Once the sphere that we like the most has been chosen, we simply keep pressing on it and a drop-down appears that shows us the option Watch Syncclick on that option, and then click again on “Synchronization” in the window that is shown to us, and the chosen cover will appear automatically on our Apple Watch.
Discover new Rolex or Casio dials at clockology
We can discover new spheres daily in one of the many clockology groups What’s on Telegram and Facebook, here are the two that I like the most:
In these groups we will learn to get the most out of the application, as well as spheres with our tastes, in case we want to Simulate a Rolex on our Apple Watch or if we want to take a cartoon as wallpaper, for example.
Since this process may be a bit more complicated than you had planned to personalize your Apple Watch, I’m going to show you other customization ways without clockology as well. Go for it!
Personalize your Apple Watch without clockology
We are going to see how to customize our Apple Watch without using clockology, although it is a good app, there is a big problem, we must always have the app open in the background and it uses up a lot of battery.
Personalize your watch with Buddywatch
Buddywatch is an application completely freeoffers numerous spheres and covers for our Apple Watch and is very intuitive to use, very easy.
On the main screen we see the last spheres added to the app, and We can save the ones we like the most in the favorites sectionand we can also quickly search for them with the search engine that appears at the top of the application.
We simply select the watch face that we like and click download, it will automatically be added to the Apple Watch faces that we have saved in the watch app on our iPhone, and we just have to click to add it to the watch, super simple.
In second place we have Watch facely
Watchfacely has a great advantage, and that is that has a unique section for the Apple Watch Series 3to have spheres fully compatible with our Apple Watch model, an important fact because today, almost no application offers us the option of customizing an Apple Watch Series 3 with covers in its catalog.
Within the app we have a store section, where we can buy with links to Amazon, any product for the watch that we like, a plus of customization within the application.
We can buy everything from bracelets and chargers to screen protectors and anything we can think of as an accessory for our team. It also has a favorites section to save within the app itself all the spheres that we like, and have them always located like this, for a quick sphere change.
Finally we can also customize our watch with Watch Faces by Facer. This app shows almost exclusively spheres of paymentand when it doesn’t, and shows you a free sphere, it constantly and annoyingly shows a monthly subscription popup for €5.49 per month, quite steep.
Even so, spheres that do not have the word premium below are free. If we select the search engine option and leave the main screen, we will find numerous super cool covers for our watch, with many fully functional complications.
Also if we want to pay the monthly subscription, we have the opportunity to make our own spheres for our Apple Watch. Finally, mention that this application has a search section, where we will be shown many spheres for our watch, very different from each other.
As always I hope you liked the article. If you use another app to personalize your Apple Watch, let us know in the comments.
