How to know your WiFi password without leaving your chair

Many times it happens to us that we have not written down the password for the Wi-Fi connection at home and we are too lazy to go see the router and write down said combination of alphanumeric characters. Especially when we are configuring a new device or we are dictating the password to another person in our family or a friend. Whatever the situation, in this article we are going to teach you how to know wifi password without leaving your chair, that is, from the PC itself.

Obviously, we are referring to doing it from the PC and there is nothing better than having the password at hand and being able to send it via email or through a WhatsApp, Telegram conversation or whatever application you use to communicate with the mobile. Therefore, the trick that we are going to teach you today, despite the fact that it is apparently banal, is extremely useful, since it saves us from wasting time dictating numbers to the other person.

How to know the WiFi password

First of all, we have to know the name of the WiFi connection to which we are connected, this will be the only thing we should point to, however, this process is easy to do and will not take more than a minute

  1. To do this, move the mouse to the taskbar, usually at the bottom of the screen, and place it on the Wi-Fi icon.
  2. If you don’t see it, then click on the triangle-shaped icon without the base and place the pointer over the icon that we told you about in the previous section.

In our case, our Wi-Fi connection connected to the internet is MOVISTAR_PLUS_0859, This is not the name of your connection or everyone’s, but only from the connection of who has written what you are reading at the moment. The reason why I am giving it is as an example and so that you can see how you can easily know the Wi-Fi password, without having to go to see the router, simply from your computer.

Know Wi-Fi Password

Remember that you have to change the bold to the name of your WiFi connection, since we have put it for our example, which you can see that it works perfectly by consulting the image that we attach. You can know the Wi-Fi password simply by looking in the Key Content field.

From here we can share it with other trusted people or keep it locked up. We recommend you save it on a Pendrive in case you have to do a complete format on your computer and lose the Wi-Fi password in the process.
